Deck Description

I've been running this deck since a little bit before the commander decks came out, and since adding sol ring way back then, i've been playing with the local meta quite a lot. I'm always tinkering around with it, and trying to find the absolute best cards that synergize with my general, Thraximundar, so I'd thought I'd share it while also hopefully picking up new cards for ye old list. The idea is to sac creatz to grow thraxi so he can swing in for the big 21. I love making him swing with extra combat turns to kill outta nowhere, it fits into the whole assassin theme. secondary win condition involves a slow war of attrition, chumping and attacking with tokens and controlling the board state using utilities offered by sac effects. deck sometimes has a problem dealing with enchantments (look at the colors), but usually cards like grixis charm and engineered explosives keep them in check. minor zombie theme, grimgrin, havengul lich, and rooftop storm are all the proverbial nutz in this category. it needs more of an early game, so i recently added cards like viscera seer and nightscape familiar. Any suggestions are welcome.

BONUS TECH:
Infinite pumps for Thraxi: Thrax + gravecrawler + phyrexian altar
Infinite mana: rooftop storm + gravecrawler + any zombie + phyrexian altar

Deck discussion for Thraxi-Sax: Paintbrush Time!

I made a Thrax EDH also. It was more Voltron than yours.

Kazuul is GENIUS. I find MY mass-sac-and-i-get-everyone-unless-you-pay-3-a-pop schtick with Prince of Thralls is still better. for I can stack useless regens with my enchantments and flush faerie and goblin tokens.

My xenograft was for Shifting Sliver. SS: all slivers can only be blocked by slivers.
XENO: declare slivers.
... nobody has slivers. SWING UNHINDERED! :D

no, this is genuine. he lets you throw away what you don't need. and that's beautiful. i was on the fence about A LOT of the spells in my build. like geth's verdict and Vamp Much.

well, my advice is always play with the cards you love. if someone tells you one card is great but you don't like playing with it, use the card you want to play instead. is more fun that way :)

Butcher of Malakir might be a good add in there if you're looking for sac power.
