Deck Description

Many have suggested that infect decks suffer late game. I've made this infect deck to try and disprove this popular theory.

How it works:

Glistener or Blighted are needed to put an early poison counter on an opponent.
Some counters, extraction and throw-away blockers maintain control through mid game.
Ramping to Inexorable Tide is the key. With all the 0-cost spells, it can finish opponents very quickly.
Jace is used for his 3rd ability (made accessable early due to proliferation) which will produce enough 0-cast spells to kill opponent on the turn it's used - kinda like a storm ability.

Please comment and make suggestions. No Idea how this would actually play.

The defense on this is too thin for the speed at which it proliferates. Every infect deck needs 4 Thrummingbirds. Graft would also do this deck a great deal of good in increasing both it's damage and defense.

You have lots of inexpensive creatures, but I don't feel Jace is adequate enough to keep your hand moving since you could very likely be out of cards in your hand by turn 3. Jace + Surgical Extraction are also a wonderful mill combo, but milling feels out of place for this deck if you plan on winning by infect/proliferate.

My suggestions: Add Graft & Thrumming birds. Replace Jace with Ponders, and consider using cheap but very powerful enchantments like Curiousity to keep your and moving, and Sigil of Sleep to bounce creatures if you keep your defense light.

Thanks for the comment. I think you are right about the Thrummingbirds and Graft. Surgical Extraction is in to beat combo and act as another cheap spell for Tide. Jace is meant for his ultimate ability which with the amount of cheap casting in this deck is a 1-hit KO, but I can see how this is slow and I probably would not have enough defense to protect him anyway. I wanted to keep this Standard but sigil of sleep is a good idea.... Thanx again buddy.
