If you really wanted to cash in on proliferate with red and blue, and if you like drawing cards with steady progress, Pyromancer Ascension could be really powerful here. An active ascension will copy your Steady Progress, drawing you another card and allowing you to proliferate again and get your other ascensions online as well as leveling up your creatures.

I was thinking of making a deck just like this; I'm in awe of the potential that little minotaur has to offer at level 6, but 16 mana is way too much to sink into one card over several turns. The aid of Thrummingbird really should allow Lord of Shatterskull Pass and Brimstone Mage to shine. The inclusion of Venerated Teacher is an obvious must.

On the facet of noncreature construction, that mana base looks a little shaky. Only 20 lands for a deck with a clunky mana curve is dangerous, not to mention the complete absence of fetchlands and other nonbasic lands, such as Cascade Bluffs or Crumbling Necropolis to fix your mana. There is absolutely no reason to not be able to cast anything in your hand due to the constraints of basic lands. I learned this lesson the hard way with my own dual and tri color decks.

All that being said, Lord of Shatterskull Pass itself is one of the few levelers that doesn't even need to be fully leveled to be potent. Being that he could be cast in a deck like this turn 4 and attack turn 5 after you leveled him up to a 6/6, it would put him far ahead of the curve due to his almost nonexistent drawbacks.
