Deck Description

-Using ur lands to either:

1. Shock ur opponents to death with seismic assault
2. Use the Punishing fire combo+grove of burnwillows to finish off ur opponents

Pretty cool and interesting to play!!
Though the truth is i subbed shocklands for the dual lands(too exp) . Comments are greatly encouraged

Deck discussion for Shards(lands) Assault

Er, you do realize you've rendered Valakut ineffective, right?
Valakut must have mountains come into play and be in play for its effect to resolve. With this, you'll never see it do the damage you want.

One more issue:
When you use Grove of the Burnwillows for R/G, all of your opponents GAIN one life. So, in essence, using Punishing Fire in combination with the Grove makes sense, but is only dealing one damange each time it hits, not two.

Well..i believe dual lands with mountain+plains are considered mountains, though non-basic?
So valakut would activate due to these 'mountains'? Not very sure of the rules now but i think it works like this.
-With 5 'dual mountains', any additional 'mountain' that comes in become a 3 dmg?
Correct me if im wrong

I really hate to ruin what would be a great idea, but it won't work. Mountains are Basic Lands by definition, so nonbasic lands (such as Voclanic Island) will not apply. These nonbasic lands only add R mana to the pool.

here is the only dual lands that counts as a mountain as well as its dual-counterpart (e.x. forest mountain)
stomping ground
blood crypt
steam vents
temple foundry

if you compare these to your current dual lands youll see a difference and why your dual lands dont count as mountains. just as any creature can have multiple creature types(e.x. elf warrior) a land can simply be a land as well as being multiple types of lands, but most for balance reasons are not.

Thx guys after much considerations i decided to just remove the valakut-scapeshift combo and simply add punishing fire+grove combo instead. Hmm..didnt know mountains only applies to basic lands. Thx for the comment!!
