The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

My ooze deck. Black and green (with a bit of blue) and totally gross. This deck is mostly about the amorphous ooze (both black and green varieties), many of whom deal with +1/+1 counters.

The deck, as it appears here, is more of a casual deck designed for multi-player play with large decks. In a straight-up head to head game, I suggest putting the land destruction cards (10 cards or so) on the sideboard, along with some of the higher cost non-creature spells and maybe 6-7 lands, that should get you back to a 75+/- card deck size.

Mephitic Ooze is only useful with artifacts, but I didn't want to litter the field with useless artifacts or fill the deck with them if that was the only reason they were in there. Instead, I decided to utilize the artifact lands (Vault of Whispers, Tree of Tales and Seat of Synod) to help it get stronger. ((before you ask, I only have 2 Tree of Tales to spare in this deck, I have my other 4 in an artifact deck where every card in the deck is an artifact))

Use Dreg Mangler, Sliterhead & Vigean Hydropon to put counters on Necroplasm to boost it up faster...AND to avoid having to sacrifice it to its own ability...once you have 4 counters on it...it'll just consume higher cost creatures and continue to grow. Vigean should help every ooze played get stronger and tougher (until it's fully consumed, that is).

Once Gutter Grime is in play, try to get rid of as many low strength oozes and saprolings as you can, to start putting NEW oozes with the Gutter Grime ability into play.

Let Vebulid grow as big as possible then sacrifice it to the Ooze Garden...basically creating a duplicate non-growing version of the Vebulid...but one that doesn't have to be sacrificed when it attacks or blocks.

Brink, Contaminated Ground and Evil Presence are all there to both slow your opponent down and ruin their lands (or destroy them)...which, unless they use black mana, should derail their plans. A bunch of the sorceries and instants also destroy land (or creatures) which should perpetuate the frustration of your opponent (especially if they utilize 2 or 3 colors).
