Basic Idea:A friend of mine asked me if I could create a deck for him, in which he could use some of his angels. The first Idea I had was a basic mono green ramp deck, but that ultimately provided me to little defence against more aggressive decks. After stumbling upon [[Axebane Guardian]] I changed the plan to defender ramp. [[Overgrown Battlement]] was added as second, though it only provides green mana. After a quick search I found some real good white defenders to increase the count for the mana-walls: [[Order of the Stars]] and [[Perimeter Captain]]. Tests and updates:This deck has been played some and has stood it's ground against rather aggressive decks like Krenko-Goblins or werewolves. It can be surprisingly fast and explosive. I'm open to all suggestions and ideas that may help to further improve this deck.One of the latest changes I made to this deck was adding [[Door to Nothingness]] and [[Helix Pinnacle]] to get an alternative win option in case an opponent manages to somehow stop the angels from attacking. [[Lyra Dawnbringer99 was added as second captain, and because she provides all angels with lifelink, do that might be overkill.
Basically you want to get out [[Perimeter Captain]] and [[Order of the Stars]] as fast as possible as they protect you from fast and aggressive decks. [[Overgrown Battlement]] and [[Axebane Guardian]] should follow soon to increase the mana you have available. Tough it produces only green mana [[Overgrown Battlement]] is still useful as 1 or two mana from white lands enable you to cast e.g. [[Avacyn, Angel of Hope]] even without the use of [[Axebane Guardian]].After one or two of your strong angels have hit the battlefield the game should be over pretty fast.
