This is mostly a classic stompy deck but it is running big elementals, Koth, Mimic Vat and Volcanic Fallout. Creatures like ball lightning are most weak against pinging damage spells, cheap instant speed removal and small creatures with first strike. To get around this you play Chalice of the Void and Trinisphere or you shut down their mana with blood moon. Ancient Tomb and Sandstone needle help make sure you get one of those 3 cards played by turn 1 or 2. Speeding out a Koth or a blistering firecat or ball lightning can be also be effective.
