Maybe geralds messenger and getting rid of 2 gempalms or combo 4 gempalms with endless ranks of the dead? Or maybe undead warchief?I got a zombie deck and with endless ranks of the dead/call to the grave, and dark rituals and culling the weak for speed (awesome with gravecrawler) works like a charm!

well I appreciate your opinion on it, I would have to say mass removal would be almost a waste. According to Lord of the undead, ghoulcallers chant and mikaeus the unhallowed, I don't really care if you day of judgment or supreme verdict. They will be back eventually. And if I can dark rit or culling to get a mikeaus or death baron or endless ranks out a couple turns early, then why the hell wouldn't it? Ive got blood scrivener for that exact purpose, for when i run out of cards. Plus gempalm is amazing, hes worth using even if i only have one zombie out, 2cmc for 1 damage and 1 card with the potential for more damage. Plus i can bring him back over and over again for even more card advantage. This deck laughs at removal, except for exile of course. But find me a tribal deck that isn't weak against exile lol.
i dropped mikaeus all together and culling the weak, but im still pretty set in stone on the dark ritual. First turn geralfs messenger is so strong, not to mention all the other early plays i can make with it
Geralf's Messenger is so much better than Blood Scriviner.
Its completely different and also a 3 drop which I already have plenty of. When Geralf turns into a 2 cmc zombie with card draw capabilities you let me know.

Have you thought about running Buried Alive works great with your Gravecrawler's, searching for three then bring them into play. Also Carrion Feeder goes nuts with Gravecrawler's by using them as an added feed engine put +1/+1 counter on him.
thats a stupid idea buried alive puts cards in your graveyard that is a stupid idea you want them in play not in your graveyard you should put in some red and run Tymaret, the Murder King he is really good.

Well, Buried Alive works great with Gravecrawler because you can play it from your graveyard so all you have to do is search for the Gravecrawler's then play them right from your graveyard, (as long as you have another zombie into play).
if it goes to the graveyard its not good what dont u not get with that!

Unfortunately, you do not seem to get it. Get your crayons and prepare to take notes, because I'm going to spell it out for you. Ready? Here we go:You play Buried alive when you have any other zombie on the battlefield. You use the ability of buried alive to search for 3 gravecrawler from your deck, and put them into the graveyard. You then cast the 3 gravecrawler from the graveyard, because the card says you can. Before you go off telling people they don't know what they're talking about, you should make sure you do. It will save us all a lot of grief tryin to keep you slow ones up to speed
I have been playing magic 4 about a month so I know how 2 play thank u and I played at my local shop and placed 2nd and 1st the next week so I think I got the game down besides u can't play these cards in normal games anyways

Any one who plays this game for 4 months and claims to have experience needs to go back to the drawing board and watch some pros play. I have been playing for 5 years and I play in constructed, draft , standard , and legacy , I have taught many people how to play. You saying teach them to play real games is like saying that planechase is not a form of mtg which it is just as much as the rest of the formats.Before you say. You have experience you should research more and watch pro play placing high in your first few is good but it only gets harder from there. I'm a top competitor @ my LGS but that doesn't mean im the best. you also should know what your talking about before you but into legacy decks as for this deck I strongly recommend undead warchief and a MINIMUM of two buried alive the aforementioned combo is correct efficient and speed is of the essence in legacy play
if he was serious I would agree with you. But clearly the idiot above was trolling you guys, and unfortunately you guys gave right into it. He obviously is just being a fuck head on purpose. Anyway, while this deck is legacy legal, I only plan to play it with friends. we usually play multiplayer games, so combos don't usually get too far sadly. If I played more 1v1 I would do that. I play alot of casual and my zombie deck is my main deck and it has tons of combos that I have easy access to
cool man. but when your playing a 3 or 4 way game and people see you about to combo off, they gang rape you. I need a less obvious combo, or just a nice gradual incline of power. Undead warchief is nice, but doesn't bring a real element to the deck. The idea behind this was to have strong graveyard control, while slowly building up an undead army that never goes away. Endless Ranks of the Dead is my big ticket card along with Gempalm Polluter. Death Baron is a great attack or block deterrent, Geralfs and Spiteful can deal good static damage. If something dies or gets destroyed, I have Lord of the Undead, Ghoulcallers Chant, Volrath's Stronhold and 2 Diabolic Intents. Not to mention the Gravecrawler.
Then u should run Mikaeus the unhollowed and u should also be running grave titan maybe you should check out my deck its called zom zoms on my profile

take a look at this built it this morning its a fast aggro zombie deck it gives alot of boost to you zombies while spawning tokens you should actually read strionic resonator this time then read grave titan and also endless ranks of the dead and if your feeling really special maybe read strionic resonator and phage the untouchable http://www.mtgvault.com/thraxattack/decks/aggro-zombies/
I understand the combo, and I know what the cards themselves do, I have seen them before. I didn't include them in here because I don't want them. Thanks for trying to help, but I am not interested in the combo your talking about.
Necromancer's Stockpile maybe a great addition for this deck with Gravecrawler, draw a card, putting in a 2/2 zombie tapped, and then playing Gravecrawler, not bad.

Yea i def considered it for a little bit, but the mana cost is too steep for the amount of land im running. I suppose it could be good if i draw those mid to late game dark rituals but other than that, its just too expensive
since youre a casual build, you could run Urborg/cabal coffers to play some more expensive stuff, like Army. just a thought

Cabal Coffers runs on your lands, which are much more difficult to interact with than your devotion. I think Coffers is strictly better, for black decks.
