Deck Description

Athreos, God of Passage was the inspiration for this. Instead of using this for more modern cards, though, I thought Modular would make Athreos' ability sickening for my opponents, while simply shifting the power and toughness of a dying creature onto another, with the potential for having it hit the battlefield again.

Then I ran across Blood Artist, Butcher of Malakir, and other black cards that made creature death so much more fun!

The icing on the cake turned out to be an infinite combo for exile and/or death with Dross Scorpion, Myr Turbine, and one or more of the sacrifice-a-creature cards. In fact, the star of this deck actually never needs to hit the battlefield for this deck to be highly effective.

[Note: needs more Ashnod's Altar cards. Also, swapping in 4 Treasury Thrull would be terrific!]

How to Play

Infinite Mana Combo:
1) Tap Myr Turbine for a Myr token.
2) Feed Myr token to Ashnod's Altar for 2 colorless mana.
3) Untap Myr Turbine due to Dross Scorpion's triggered ability. Go to 1; Repeat as often as necessary.

If you have one of several cards in the deck that trigger when a creature and/or an artifact goes to the graveyard, you will be able to exile and/or ping your opponent(s) to death.
