Deck Description

This deck should be painful to play. Against.

Sphinx-Bone Wand and Talon of Pain are the stars of this deck, compounding pain in a rapidly escalating way.

GREAT for multi-player!

NOTE: Replace Splinter Twin with something else, and this deck is very budget-minded!

How to Play

Try to get your creatures, especially Guttersnipes, out early as well as your Talons (and Wands, if possible) before playing sorceries and instants.

The Wands are expensive at 7 mana each, but with a pair of Iron Myr and a pair of Emrakul's Hatchers, you should be able to get a wand out quickly.

Mechanic: Nearly everything you do other than playing creature or artifact spells should load up one or more Talons of Pain with counters while simultaneously dealing damage to your opponent(s). Talons are terrific finishing blow artifacts, and will be targets for removal. With a hand full of cheap instants and sorceries, though, the real threat are the wands which trigger separately for each sorcery or instant. So does each Guttersnipe. ;c)

Deck discussion for Threshold of Pain

The only problem i see with this, big spells, no mana
