A creature type that's quite unique is the sliver, and one can really create interesting decks with them. This is my take on a sliver deck with an alternate win-condition than attacking.
The way to play this deck is pretty simple. Get out Crystalline Sliver, Dormant Sliver and as many +thoughness slivers as possible, after that simply get Psionic Sliver to blast your opponents away. Should you need some life, just cast essence sliver and gain 5 life per psionic blast you create. If the Slivers aren't strong enough for you, just cast Fungus Sliver and see them toughen up as you blast your opponents.Of course the Gemhide sliver is to boost your mana output, put it together with Dormant Sliver and you can get a hell of a lot slivers out in a single turn.

That was my exact thought when I made this deck. I was tired of slivers only being about growing fat off each other and the beat down. This is way more interesting.
