Deck Description

from the dark depths of R'lyeh a cry echoes out. the earth shakes. lands crumble to dust. cthulu is coming.

How to Play

well obviously the crown jewel of this deck is to summon marit lage who is basically cthulu for the purpose of this deck. and to do that you sacrifice a hexmage and target dark depths: boom you have the ancient one under your command. (hexmages are great ways to instakill a planeswalker too. just sayin.) You can also use thespians stage to get the same effect now that they changed the legend rule

you can potentially achieve this second turn and heres how: play urborg first turn. then play dark depths. tap both for black (since they are both swamps now) play your hexmage and sac him.

besides beating face with a 20/20 this deck is basically a land destruction deck. urborg makes spreading algae a deadly card against any deck (and also increases the effectiveness of dross golem) and dark ritual lets you play a land destruction card on your first turn. You can crop rotate for whatever you need or living wish for that matter

the sideboard is still under construction so any suggestions are more then welcome!

Playing with Dark Depths it maybe wise to toss in a Lightning Greaves or two so when he hits the field going in for an instant attack plus not being the target of spells and abilities is always a plus.
