Deck Description

Weenie devotion! No elspeth in sight here!

---Flavour---

As the hordes of returned and harpies attack the doors of Akros their people look to their god to save them. At least most of the people do.

Kython leads a band of solders against the horde, but he was only recently let of jail he has to command with whoever is left that can to fight.

As things wear on and as the line is paused back into the wall of Settesn reinforcements, victory looks assured. Was this due to the god, or due to the power of the hero of Akros? Only time will tell.

But remember always, pride comes before a fall.

I took out two spears and added it, thanks for the headsup! What do you think of the change?

took out all the spears, the fabled hero and reduced the evangel. Added knight and more valour.

At 4 mana, I wouldn't run more than 3 Valor in Akros. A Spear in the 4th's spot seems good as it provides more devotion than Valor and can be used as removal.

Archangel of Tithes would be awesome in here. Besides it's awesome limiting ability (that is borderline broken, in standard at least), it's a 3/5 flyer for 4 mana, and it also supplys 3 white to devotion. I can see it replacing Wingmate Roc.

~You are indeed correct sir, archangel is really good in this deck. INFACT there is a whole new build with her in it and Elspeth as the top end. Channel fireball did a really good youtube video with that build.

This is my take on it and after a bit of testing... it seems that its just not as good. Bit it is a bit faster....

Honestly, other than what I see on this site and the Reconstructed articles, I don't see much of other people's decks. I prefer to build from scratch. Surprisingly, I've found that I sometimes come up with stuff that's already done, though in a slightly different way.

I think I saw that build on channelfireball. It looked impressive! After testing this deck did...ok.. but I think the control variant may be just a little better.

Perhaps your suggestions will push it over the edge...?

Why did this fail? I think it looks pretty neat.

It was too slow and had too little impact on the board, I put it together when it was Thros, Khans, Origins and the one that ramped out eslpeth was just better because it could live though assaults from mono red and had the late game tools to deal with control.

Thank you for the interest though, :)
