Deck Description

I was looking through some of the RTR cards, and came upon Azor's Elocutors, and thought how good of a card it would be in a prison deck. So this is my version of Prison, with Azor's elecutors as its wincon. Because I do not care how much life my opponent is at, I chose not to run red, since I don't need any of the burn. I replaced the burn with paths (hopefully that will be enough). I'm pretty confident with most of the cards in this deck, but it is my first prison deck, so please leave a comment if you have a suggestion!

How to Play

The idea of this deck is to lock your opponent out of doing anything relevant. Sure they can cast a lightning bolt, but as long as you have leyline out, they can't target you. They may have put splinter twin on their pester mite, but if you only have one card in hand they can't attack you because of ensnaring bridge. Thats basically the idea of a prison deck.

My version is slightly different, theres no red, and therefore no blood moon. I initially had blood moon in this deck, but decided that if I wasn't going to run any other red spells, I didnt want to splash red just for blood moon, since splashing would mean less basics, and therefore blood moon hurting me more. Since I am not running blood moon, the reason for so many basics is to play around it. There are an increasing number of decks main boarding blood moon in modern, and I think that playing around it will help out a lot.

Most of the cards in here should be pretty self explanatory as long as you know how prison decks work, but a few may need explanation:

Steady Progress: This lets you do two things: it can get the number of loyalty counters up on your planes walkers while also upping the number of filibuster counters on the Elocutors. I may switch it for Inexorable Tide, so let me know what you think about that.

Feeling of dread: this lets me tap down opponents creatures for two turns, I just have to worry that they don't have more than two important ones.

Tamiyo: I have Tamiyo in the sideboard bc she can pretty much up to two permanents tapped at all times, assuming nothing is threatening her (and if something was, she can just tap it
