Deck Description

This is the deck I' m working on to start getting into the modern format. The keys to this deck are Melira, Sylvok Outcast and Birthing Pod. Melira combos with my persist creatures to prevent them from dying. Birthing Pod and Green Sun's Zenith find Melira and my singletons creatures with situational abilities. Melira+Pod lets me sacrifice creatures with persist without them dying, supplying me with a continuous supply of creatures and card advantage. Their is also a series of singletons with persist that chains up to Elesh Norn, though I think this chain could be better. I'm not familiar with all of the modern- legal cards, just the most played/recent ones, so input would be appreciated.
Here are the main uses for each card:
Auriok Champion: Great against token/weenie, prevents even infinite Deceiver Exarch from winning.
Ethersworn Canonist/Thalia: slows down other decks so I can get Pod running, really hurts control/combo decks
Judge' s Familiar: Early blocker that can slow opponents down.
Fiend Hunter: Removal that I can search for.
Aerie Ouphes/Kiega: Chain up to Elesh Norn
Elguad Sheildmate: Protects Melira from removal
With Melira out:
Aerie Ouphes: Free unlimited damage to any flying creatures.
Bloodthrone Vampire+Kitchen Finks(or champion+any persist): Infinite life
Glen Elendra Archmage: endless pay(U), counter noncreature spell

Against noncreature decks, I want to get a Glen Elendra Archmage+Melira out, which lets me stop pretty much anything they do. Against creature-based decks, I use my persist creatures+Melira to block their attackers until I can chain to Elesh Norn to win.

Deck discussion for Bant Ultra- Pod(modern)

i like it seems solid. but i would add a sideboard for the mirror match because pod is a popular deck in modern perhaps linvala or a harmonic sliver which i think would be the best option because its more accessible to pod as well as it targets artifacts and enchantments as well as non creature artifact destruction in case you play against torpor orb aggro. which is a very solid deck as wel. anyway check out my standard golgari fightclub deck ^_^

Yeah, I'm new to format, haven' t figured out best sideboard yet. I will definitely have a Linvala, she's great against a lot of things. I also want a copy of the new dragon(for affinity), and maybe an Acidic Slime. Harmonic Sliver is also a great card here, thanks for pointing it out.

Do you have any other good sideboard suggestions?

I hate to slightly burst your bubble, but Green Sun's Zenith is banned in Modern. The closest substitute that most people use if they want a similar effect is Chord of Calling (slightly more expensive, but it can fetch creatures of any color). Also, another creature that works great with Melira is Murderous Redcap, infinite damage if you can find a way to sac him for free. Hope this helps, good luck!

Thanks for telling me Green Sun' s Zenith is banned, I didn't realize.(like I said, this will be my first modern deck, I'm new to the format). I didn't play Murderous Redcap because I wasn't playing red, I thought white and blue would give me more situational creatures(I love Archmage+Melira, and Ethersworn Canonist is great because I'm getting my creatures from the Pod, so one spell each turn is fine. Like I said, I'm still playtesting this, so I'm not sure what the final list will look like
