Modern Merfolk Deck. I've never played competitive modern, but would like to start. I went with this deck because I've only been played MTG since Zendikar block, so this is one of the few decks built mostly of cards that I already have. The cards I don't have (from Lorwyn), are all cheap to buy or easy to trade for. Because I dont have much experienc in Modern, I went with a pretty simple sideboard that lets me turn into a counter deck. Spreading Seas combines with Tectonic Edge to wreck Jund's mana base, especially the ones splashing Lingering Souls(All nonbasic,4 colors to deal with, and blue is the only one they don't want.
