Deck Description

1 / 9 / 2012

RAMP Geist of Saint Traft + Grimgrin, Corpes-Born RAMP

This is a theoretical deck. Deceiver Exarch and Grimgrin, Corpse-Born were the only creatures i had a chance to battle test. it went pretty well. I can untap Grimgrin, Corpse-Born when Deceiver Exarch enters the battlefield and when i sac Deceiver Exarch, i think it will work the same way with Village Bell-Ringer but with a more aggressiveness. all other creatures here work with one another, i had no space for removals and counters i think disperse will be a better all around removal or creature savior spell other creatures are utility creatures anyway.

open to suggestions. :P

i think i would try out with:

-1 geist
-1 grimgrin
-1 angelic destiny
-1 spirit mantle
+4 phantasmal image

reason: its a cheap 2 cost, that can work as an extra exarch or bell ringer... (though it doesnt have flash the same way it can still untap your grimgrin...

else i would proberbly look at Vedalken Anatomist for a more consistent way of tap control, that also works on controling opponents creatures... (+1/+1 counters and -1/-1 counters even eachother out, so your grimgrin still stays quite strong, since he still gets a counter when he attacks...)

I tried phantasmal image as u suggested, play tested it, it can give additional defense when your opponent's creatures are huge and have flying. nice but i think ill stick with bell ringer and exarch as i have my choice to put them on play or put a hatchling counter on Ludevic's Test Subject or disperse during the opponent's turn.

-1 angelic destiny
-1 spirit mantle
-1 geist
-1 grimgrin

i think your right about this, too many of them XD

-2 angelic destiny
-2 spirit mantle
-1 geist
-1 grimgrin

but ill do this.

Vedalken Anatomist is another way to tap or untap creatures but with downsides, ill pass with that.

i want to find a way to deal with mass removals, i find it frustrating when i have grimgrin and geist dominating but then DOJ suddenly happen. X(

Thanks for the ideas.

sure np :)

if its Doj or other removal you fear, maybe negate over mana leak? yes i know mana leak can be used for all spells, but negate is more hard counter, as they wont get the chance to pay extra for the DoJ...

i'm also looking forward on suggestions on my bUG deck
