Deck Description

Standard Boros token deck based on token production and burn. It's too bad Assemble the Legion doesn't create Human Soldier tokens, would have made Vigilante Justice so much fun. Suggestions on how to improve the deck are appreciated.

Deck discussion for Boros Tokens

Vigilante Justice and Assemble the legion is just ridiculous. I might try Gather the Townsfolk in the place of Five-Alarm Fire. Also, Silverblade Paladin would do well in this deck, perhaps in the place of Court Street Denizen?

Good point about the Five-Alarm fire. I guess I just wanted a reason to use it since I pulled one. I don't really see how Silverblade Paladin would benefit the deck more than Court Street Denizen. It would only help to give itself and one other creature double strike. The only creatures worth pairing would be Champion of the Parish. With Court Street Denizen, I get to tap critical blockers. With Assemble the Legion out, I'll have more tapping than I know what to do with.

Do games last long enough to have Assemble the Legion really be useful? I just find that a lot of games might be over by the time you get it out and start getting the tokens.

With some luck, it's possible to get Assemble the Legion out on the 4th turn. Even if the game doesn't last too long after that, that's still a solid drop then for tokens each turn. If you assume the opponent doesn't gain life, I just need 7 creatures on the field once I draw Burn at the Stake. Even less if I got some swings in the meantime. The main thing is, this is a casual deck I made with the intent of having fun with it.

If you swing your warleader then cloud shift her you get to swing her again on next combat phase then take another since she enters the battlefield from exile as a new creature giving yourself 3 combat phases and I'd drop the guildgate worst lands ever

Yeah, a friend of mine was telling me about that. Sounds like a neat combo. Add in Angelic Skirmisher to the combat, just just First Strike or Lifelink for the first two combat phases, then Vigilance for the last.
