maybe a few defensive spells will help. something like devastation tide, plaxmanta, simic charm....... i have tryied i think all ways to play simics and i know blue has nice defensive and finishing spells :) and simics have the best couterspells ever :) plasm capture, voidslime and mystic snake :)even there are two good creature destroys: pongify and rapid hybridization :) simics dont have a problem sacrifice weak creature for good of others. and you play with +1/+1 counters and dont have gilder bairn? and experiment cry?
