Deck Description

Well, since Alaran gobbos sacrifice themselves to the dragons...

This is a Budget Deck (BD for short). It is meant primarily for casual play, and its estimated mid value is aimed to land between 10 and 20 US dollars at most. Take this detail into consideration when browsing the deck!

I mostly use MTG Vault for my own private projects nowadays, but feel free to comment or request a deck of your choice. I've loved the Vault so far, and I like that they are still improving on it, as well as I am improving on my English language skills.

So, if you like what you see, consider checking out some of my other budget-y work from the link below.

How to Play

Goblins and dragons, the age-old combination. While the little green fellas (or furred fellas, if we are talking of Alaran goblins,) can handle the early game, these big, fire-breathing lizards will surely dominate later on. Sweet!

As mentioned, you can begin the game by dropping a huge load of goblins onto the field. These bad boys will swing wide and likely deal some damage through if your opponents don't have enough defenses or if you don't mind losing some gobbos in doing so. Alternatively, if you have a sacrifice-engine or two available, you can start gathering up resources for your lategame as well. Dark-Dweller Oracle can give you alternative cards to cast, while Skirk Prospector can quickly squeeze out bigger creatures when needed.

As the game goes on, the tone of this deck shifts from goblins to dragons (and an occasional Magmaw). These fellas, when compared to the smaller goblins, come into play in far lesser numbers, yet are more game-changing when they do. Magmaw can channel your goblins into some raw damage output, while Tyrant of Kher Ridges offers both instantaneous damage as well as a decent body. Voracious Dragon and Warmonger Hellkite, on the other hand, support more of a goblin-focused gameplay. All this combined with a whole playset of Goblin Oriflamme makes sure you'll have a plenty of options when considering your winning plays!

Utilize the sideboard against alternative opponents, if you wish. These cards offer clever solutions to opponents otherwise hard-to-beat with the current lineup!
