Deck Description

These quacksalvers will be in for a proper reclamation...
provided you are alive to make such demands.

This is a Budget Deck (BD for short). It is meant primarily for casual play, and its estimated mid value is aimed to land between 10 and 20 US dollars at most. Take this detail into consideration when browsing the deck!

I mostly use MTG Vault for my own private projects nowadays, but feel free to comment or request a deck of your choice. I've loved the Vault so far, and I like that they are still improving on it, as well as I am improving on my English language skills.

So, if you like what you see, consider checking out some of my other budget-y work from the link below.

How to Play

A rakdos discard deck: It has been a while!
The bane of all control decks!

This deck attempts to win by eating away the cards from your opponent's hand. Fell Specter will punish opponents from discarding, while Nyxathid, Guul Draz Specter and Shrieking Affliction will limit how your opponents wish to play their turns. When your opponents run out of cards, Rekindled Flame also returns to blaze once more!

In addition to these cards, you can try to maneuver around your opponents strategies via a clever usage of Slaughter Games, or perhaps even the cards in your sideboard. There are a lot of options!

Deck discussion for BD: Mordant Malpractice

Skullcage doesn't seem to fit the deck for me, with all that discard you will want to keep an opponent on zero cards for most of the game. Megrim or Shrieking Affliction could be a replacement for this.
Scepter of Fugue and Nihil Spellbomb are just some general suggestions.

Shrieking Affliction could generally be better, sure, but I believe you must have misread Skullcage:
Skullcage deals damage each turn UNLESS the player is at three or four cards, so they'll have to try getting to that number. With your discard, of course, you'll be able to prevent it.

Yes, I've misread, you're absolutely right. At the moment I'm at home for some days and obviously my brain is going numb. ;-)
