Deck Description

Sometimes the best way to learn about stuff is to rush into trouble, head first.

This is a Budget Elder Dragon Highlander deck (BEDH). It is meant for the Elder Dragon Highlander format, a.k.a. Commander. If you are not familiar with the format, I'll link it below for you.

I mostly use MTG Vault for my own private projects nowadays, but feel free to comment or request a deck of your choice. I've loved the Vault so far, and I like that they are still improving on it, as well as I am improving on my English language skills.

So, if you like what you see, consider checking out some of my other budget-y work from the link below.

How to Play

Volo sure is a one-of-a-kind legend! He brings out double the pals, as long as you don't have one too similar to that pal yet. It evokes some extraordinary strategies, some of which I've tried to utilize in this deck.

This deck has several ways of re-utilizing its creatures. One way is to clone the creature, bounce the original back into your hand, then use the clone for whatever purpose you might need, such as attacking or blocking. Once dead, drop back out the original, then re-acquire the value!

This deck has some strong synergies in it, just in case. Consider casting Echoing Equation (the backside of Augmented Pugilist) targeting Volo, then out of a sudden you'll have a board full of Volo's, which you can use to copy a single dude a whole lot of times (perhaps a Terastodon for some mass destruction? Or perhaps End-Raze Forerunners for some heavy damage?). There's also an INFINITE COMBO included in the deck: Swarm Intelligence + Regrowth + Recollect + Frantic Search equals any number of card draws, plus infinite mana, provided you can swoop your grave back in using Loaming Shaman. Whack, right?
