Deck Description

Are you bored? Does Magic: The Gathering feel old and vapid? Got any useless bucks in your bank account? Ladies and Gentlemen, I have solution.
Use your bank account on nearest MtG marketplace website and buy some cheap cards, craft a deck, and challenge your friends! To double the fun, ask your friend to create such a deck too!
The Budget Decks -series is meant for your free time! These are meant to inspire you, and deck's value is meant to be low! (Between 10 and 20 bucks.)

How to Play

Inspired by Lepercob.
Hope you like this!

Finish off your opposition using archers. They might not be too powerful attackers, but Greatbow Doyen can easily turn the tables. Door of Destinies and Overrun also make games shorter.

Would Razorwhip work better than Bullwhip in here?
Also, Nylea's Bow seems to have a certain place in here

Bullwhip has its meaning here. It is meant to force your opponent's creatures to attack you, when you can block them with multiple Archers while Greatbow Doyen is in play to deal high amounts of damage to them.

Ok. I see your point there.
Say, I have a new deck that I'd like some feedback on:

Kill me.
What's worse though is that NorthernWarlord overtook me in posts by posting his Budget Deck lines

Northy! I have been away for education purposes, but now I return to find you've created several awesome decks! While I digest them, I was wondering if you'd be open to taking a request?

A modern budget fish (monoblue aggro) deck?

Northy always tries to take requests. I've requested like 12, but mine are all weird and hard to do. As in a creature-type SHIP deck. Just saying that would be sweet. He did do a creature type Lhurgoyf deck for me tho.

Okay, Fish and Chips... No, Fish and Ships!
I think I'm too hungry... Gotta eat first and then get to work. I've already recieved six requests today and I've just checked out two decks... Looking good.

There is no more ship creature type, sadly. In every case, Oracle text gives those creatures different types.

Hey CBF, great deck ( I love me some archers.) Always thought Archer would be a sweet name for a kid. Maybe hunt the hunter, it has a bow in it O.o *mindblown* you just gotta look at art more closely I guess. Would you check out my deck BuG counters plzzzz.

I really love the deck and the idea behind it I have become a bigger EDH player now as I have gotten older. I am huge fan of tribal or themed decks I just posted a new EDH deck The purge I would love your feedback and it would be cool if archers could be done in EDH though I think you would probably wind up just going more elf heavy. I think Rhys the redeemed would be an amazing commander for it.

I'd suggest putting in a few Jagged-Scar Archers, seeing as a lot of the archers in this deck are Elves and they also have an amazing AA ability. (Maybe 4 to replace the whip, thereby making it Modern playable!). Other than that, this is another great deck from you!

Quick question. Why 4x Bullwhip, why not go with only 2 and add 1x Ezuri's Archers and 1x Scattershot Archer?

I guess that there is enough early gamers already, and Bullwhip basically says that you can destroy a creature and deal high amounts of damage to the attacking player if you have Greatbow Doyen in play.

1

Can you explain? Maybe I’m missing something.
Bullwhip says: Bullwhip deals 1 damage to target creature.
Greatbow Doyen says: Whenever an Archer you control deals damage to a creature, that Archer deals that much damage to that creature's controller.
I can see how Greatbow Doyen can do extensive additional damage, but how does the Bullwhip tie into it?

Making an opponents creature attack you is perfect blocking opportunity for your archers, which will deal damage to your opponent.

Hey Northern- I was just thinking... with all the cool new centaur/minotaur tribal creatures out in the new block, wanna do a duel deck of centaur tribal vs. minotaur tribal?

Not bad idea. I was just pondering new idea for my next duel deck...
I guess I'm making it then? I'll inform you two immediately when it is done.

Okay. The both parts of it are now done. I had some difficulties, since there aren't many early gamers for either, and I also had difficulties trying to figure out the best "boss-card" for centaurs.
