How to Play

Spirits are long dead, but yet they are still powerful.

-Drogskol Captain is main creature of this deck, use it to secure other spirits.
-Kami of the Crescent Moon is kinda useful card, since you can counter your opponent's useful cards that he/she draws with the Kami.
-Dungeon Geists is just so cruel! It cripples one of your opponent's creatures!

Deck discussion for Budget Decks: Spirit

I also played around with the idea of forming a deck around "Drogskol Captain", the main disadvantage is, that it is to slow against common modern or standard decks. But perhaps some of my Ideas will help you:
As cheap spirits I used "Spectral Rider"(Intimidate), "Kaijin of the Vanishing Touch"(Bounces blocked creatures back on hand) or "Lantern Kami"(Cheap and flying). The rider is also a great creature to carry "Inquisitor's Flail" to your enemy. "Rushing-Tide Zubera" is a good blocker and a nice choice for carddraw.
As support I used the following instants/ sorcerys/ equipments: "Skillful Lunge"(Buff), "Inquisitor's Flail"(Damage), "Spell Pierce"(Counterspell), "Mana Tithe"(Counterspell) and "Otherworldly Journey"(Protection and buff).

Ultimately I splashed green to get access to some other spirits, but that is not really a good choice for a budget deck

Have you tried making a spirit deck with green? Like having Elder pine of Jukai and Loam dweller etc?

Maybe you could do it with blue so you can have Tomorrow, Azami's Familiar too? Would make for tons of deck control at least. Splash white for the Kami of False Hope and possibly Drogskol Captain or something?
