Homeward Path to help combat U/B and Sultai, possibly?Mindswipe is pretty sweet, but if your mana is not optimal, Plasm Capture works great (not to mention adds mana for more big monsters). Trap Essence is also nice for similar purposes, except for the Bolster-like effect.Just a few thoughts.

I pulled mine in a pack, you could probably just go get one at you local store or online, they are fairly cheap, only like $3 or maybe even less.
but the point of these is that, with no money, you could buy these decks for 10-20 dollars. surrk alone is like 5 or 10

you have some money left, so throw in shaman of the great hunt. ferocious triggers with 20 creatures and the commander, so it's just tons of card advantage

I am in the process of building this deck. My first EDH deck stunk. I really like this one. I have some of the cards but I am looking at some possible alternates. Some of these cards may not be budget, but they are what I have.Krosan Driver to make the 6+ creatures cheaper. Fierce Empath to get said creatures.Repopulate so that al creatures go back to may deck. Really useful after a board wipe.Icy Blast to counter attacks.Yasova Dragonclaw to take control of opponent creature.Ugin, the Spirit Dragon. No explanation needed.Trap Essence to counter creature and pump up a creature.Thoughts?
Not so bad ideas. Especially the Krosan Driver sounds good, since this deck bears pretty many big creatures. Thanks to that reason, Fierce Empath is not too horrible either.Icy Blast is a pretty good assault stopper. I agree with that.Trap Essence and Ugin both bring a nice little trick to the deck.
