Inspired by dharr16.This is a pretty artifact-based instead than drain-based, but I hope that's okay to you guys.So, use different kinds of artifacts in order to keep your opponent at bay, while you can pay your life in order to get some sweet, sweet bonuses.

I like it :) A question though: can you activate the commander's ability of paying {1} even if it is in the command zone?On another note, my suggestions would be replacing Haunted Guardian with Expedition Map to search for any of the nonbasic land you need, or with Porcelain Legionnaire (better stats, and you can pay life for it); replace either Manalith or Obelisk of Esper for Command Tower; Swiftfoot Boots/whispersilk cloak to give any important creature hexproof; and Darksteel Forge to make your artifacts indestructible :)
