Deck Description

Mutant decks are just like constructed except they must have 100 cards and at least one legendary card in the deck. This concept was created by my friend, ThePrimeAnomaly. I liked the idea, so I decided to make a mutant deck of my own. Note: All credit of mutant decks must go to ThePrimeAnomaly. Note: Do not get mutant format confused with commander, (aka EDH format), because they are DIFFERENT!

How to Play

Get weak creatures out on turn 1, attack on turn 2, second main phase get raid creatures out so you get bonuses, then just keep doing this over and over again untill you get stuff like zurgo, mardu roughrider, and ankle shanker out. Use deflecting palm to prevent a beefy creature from dealing damage to you because all your creatures are tapped. Use ride down, Mardu roughrider, and horde ambusher to clear out blockers. It's as simple as that. Mardu is all about simplicity. Just attack. Talk later.

Deck discussion for Mutant decks: Mardu Aggro

Hate to sound like a total ass, but this deck type you guys came up with is literally no different from most regular deck builds, except fit the fact that it has 100 cards in it . I'm not hating on the want to make and try new play styles because I tried making one myself. Called it devotion, based off the devotion and chroma abilities. The decks had to be all of one color, even ability costs, and it was permanents only. I had a black one and a friend of mine had a green one. You would think they would be really limited in the way they play, but damn were they powerful if you didn't kill them fast. Mine could drop gray merchant and kill everyone at the table, and my buddy's green one would be tapping for over 50 mana from devotion alone, meaning really big hydras, and primalcrux (seriously, go look it up. Fucking overpowered as hell in a green devotion deck)

Yeah, gray merchants are so overpowered. We call the garys. Lol. And not, you are not being an ass. ThePrimeAnomaly came up with this, and I just liked the idea because sometimes I feel like 60 cards is too limited. Yes, I know decks can be MORE than 60 cards, but I like to keep them at 60.

Oh, and I like the ideas of devotion format. Sounds fun.

Do you think I should create a format that is 30 cards, only one of each card, and at the beginning of your upkeep, if you can't draw a card, nothing happens? (because mill would just be too op in a 30 card format).

Ok, created a couple of decks in the new format. I call it ECO TCG (Each Card Once, Thirty Card Games)
