Deck discussion for Mono-Black Control

Not bad! The downside is that if the deck you're up against isn't strongly creature based you're going to be in trouble. Maybe consider adding a couple more bigger creatures so that you have a more general win condition. If you want to stick with the killing theme, here are a couple ideas:
Mortician beetle
Viscera Seer/reassembling skeleton
Blade of the bloodchief
Geth's verdict is also a better version of cruel edict you might want to consider

Thanks for the help. I took some of your advice and added Skeletal Vampire for a finisher. What do you think?

Hmm well if you're going to go that route I would personally prefer something like mephidross vampire

Not sure how many of these will fit the theme you are trying to keep, but here are some suggestions:

-Mind Sludge for heavy discard
-Quag Sickness for bringing down creatures some more
-Nightmare or Squelching Leeches for a finisher
-Swap a couple Doom Blade with a couple Go for the Throat or Ultimate Price for more diversity in removal spells
-Brain Maggot can be good for taking cards away from their hand and can get annoying quick

Black is my favorite color for monocolored decks and this looks pretty good overall.
