Deck Description

I've always wanted to make a treefolk deck, because they remind me sooo much of Lord of the Rings!

It would nice to have a better defense than offense this time.

Deck discussion for Lord of the Rings

Dude. This deck rocks! If you added a Doran The Siege Tower, this deck would be fantastic! Use your Mosswort Bridge to play it without having white or black mana!

Thanks, but the chances are too slim that i will be able to get Doran within 4 cards. i might change the deck into a 3-color eventually though, and i know i will add it in the deck.

True, but if you increase the number of Doran's to two or three, then remove Feed the Pack and Overwhelming Stampede, with 4 Mosswort Bridges, your chances would greatly increase. Besides, this deck has enough bark power to lay the hammer down on any opponent. I might also suggest other treefolk such as Crabapple Cohort, Dungrove Elder and more Leaf-Crown Elders, to add to the chances of getting Doran out, too. Still awesome.

I've had a treefolk deck for forever, and while I was originally reluctant to add dungrove elder, it was worth it. Hexproof is bonkers.

Harbinger, Bannerett, Dungrove, Dourbark, Leaf-Crowned Elder and Timber Protector was my line up, with 3 Dorans. Battlewand oak can also get pretty nasty. Leaf-Crowned elder is the most potent treefolk in my opinion, and if you're not running 4 then you're missing out. All of the other treefolk that I've had in my deck have been too slow. The only one I ever switch in is indomitable ancients just for kicks.

Getting Doran out is easier than you think. Harbinger + Leaf Crowned Elder does it for (G). Green Sun Zenith will do it for (3)(G). Harbinger can also pick out Murmuring Bosk from your deck since it's a forest, if you're looking to hardcast him.

If you really want defense (Quickbeam would be ashamed of you), vines of the vastwood + autumn's veil are out there.

I gave you +1 because this was an awesome comment, but more importantly because of the Quickbeam part.

Seriously, I love this deck. I usually don't like green decks but I love treefolk, and this deck is killer.
