Wanted to make a rat-themed deck, and this was the best I could come up with for under ~$35. It turned out a lot better than I would have thought. Swarmyard+Typhoid Rats+Ninjutsu Rats/Unholy Strength is pretty cheap. I'm really surprised more people don't run Despise/Distress. One mana to look at your opponents hand and discard their best creature? Two mana to discard their best spell? Yes please.

well, for distress it's 2 black mana, most people would prefer duress or hymn to tourach

Well, damn, now that I'm looking at it more closely I think you're right. Duress would have been better, for some reason I thought duress couldn't get rid of artifacts, but no, it totally does. Hymn is awesome, but I think the precision of choosing what card to destroy, and the intangible advantage of seeing your opponents hand, makes up for the extra card.
