they deck them selves before u do or u get one of there win conditions with jace.

The way Ivan Floch made his deck was to control the game until the opponent ran out of cards or he stole his opponent's win conditions with Jace's ult. The Elixir is there so that Floch didn't run out of cards before his opponent.
