Deck discussion for Affinity tournament legacy

I love decks that have tons of 0 CMC creatures :) (In fact, I made one yesterday)

Tempered steel might be a nice addition. It wrecks with inkmoth nexus

replace phyrexian walker with signal pest.
Also, since this is legacy, cut steelshaper's gift and add stoneforge mystic instead.

Deck is pretty solid. For legacy darksteel citadel is a staple because it can't be blown up with wasteland or perc deed. Arcbound ravager's price is going down because of the reprint so I would say that 4 of them can be a nice upgrade seeing how it is a kill condition and a way to dodge opponets spells/abilities. Since you have a decent mana curve steel overseer and master of etheriums may be good options.

Also try using stoneforge mystic in place of steelshapers gift so that you can search an equipment and cheat it into play if your opponet is playing counterspells. Also great combo with Batterskull.

Type your deck name...Thanks for the comment!! i find that steel overseer is really slow.. it doesn't do anything the turn it comes in.. as master of etherium is a little hight mana cost for what it does, and ravager i will put it in my sideboard with disciple of the vault, last point, stoneforge is a little bit off budget for now. i play a lot of standard lately.

standard = money trap

also, stoneforge is only 10 bucks, kind of a deal really

A playset of thoughtcast is perfect. He doesn't need to change it.

i think you refer to mycosynth golem, which also gives affinity for artifacts to artifact creatures.

Arcbound ravager is insane. Oh you wanna swords my dude? I guess I'll get a counter. Oh your almost dead ill sac some lands. However you don't wanna see multiples so I'd run 2
Also master of etherium is insane, the only way someone can kill him is a swords to plowshares which can gain you 7-8 life which is actually a lot
Signal pest is also really good as swarm works really well for when you lose cranial plating
Phyrexian walker is just sad it quite literally just makes plating go for 1 more
Steelshapers gift is only okay plating is not always the best option. (For example if they're playing green black they can just abrupt decay or maelstrom pulse it)
This will make your curve slightly higher so is go to 4 mox opal (with new legendary rules they got better) and 4 springleaf drum

-4 phyrexian walker
-2 steel shapers gift
-4 frogmite ( for space)
+2 Arcbound ravager
+4 master of etherium
+4 signal pest
-2 inkmoth nexus
+1 mox opal
+1 springleaf drum

well four mox.. is a little bit too much IMO and also what do you thiink about my first kill option to be tezz.. that deck was really made for that .... i might have putted the wrong card for that tho.. any ideas ??

The thing is post m14 each additional mox turns into a lotus petal
Also Arcbound ravager helps take care of extra moxes
In tournament affinity tezz is mainly a back up kill after the first wave doesn't kill them.
Costing 4 makes him hard to cast before a few draw steps and land drops. Also what I suggested makes into an affinity lost that I've tested extensivily

honestly etched champion should be in the main board over walker and with that extra 4 spots u can add ethersworn canonist to screw combo.

0

yeah i would place etched champion in hte main board and if you want to be able to draw more place a curiosity on it, it's can't be blocked by any color

Whipflare is the only card in the sideboard that should be there. Those creatures aren't sideboard cards. Sideboards are designed to have specific cards that help your matchups. You should have cards like mindbreak trap, grafdigger's cage, ethersworn canonist, and disenchant. Think along the lines of what cards beat popular legacy decks when you make a sideboard.

And I agree with n3ffy that champion should be mainboarded, though mabye 2 or 3 instead of a full playset.

Use less lands, i think 12 is ok. Cranial plating isn't stron enought, use some "sword of...". Plx put 4 mox opal, this artifact is insane

0

16-18 land is good for affinity.
Do you know what Cranial Plating does?
Even with the legend rule update in M14 you can still run only three Mox Opals and be fine.

stop trolling.

sword of body and mind on any quickdrop flyer is nasty. also a piston sledge or 2 could be really nice for inkmoth nexus. however if you start throwing in more equipment you might wanna throw in a few puresteel paladins or auriok steelshaper. and also check out indomitable angel
