Well, i played my hydra deck.. and i have one things to say!!! it SUCKS!!! so i made my personal twist on gruul aggro that ill play at FNM tomorow and hope ill do good ( i would say its more an attempt to make a new blitz ( Gruul Blitz )

hi guys!, i need help to make my deck faster. i have insane problem to deal with early game. and also if my hydra are removed.. i loose bad. so i need help to make that deck more compeditive but i want to keep my hydra main board i will post my SB in a couple of hours P.S. sorry for my english.. im from Québec so i speak mostly french P.S.2 I can splash any color if needed except black.. i played to much jund and doesnt enjoy it anymore

Boros Reckoner, Rakdos Cackler, Stromkirk Noble, and Hellrider would definitely help this deck if you're going Gruul Argo (which seems like you are) I don't think you need the Guildmage. You definitely don't want 4 Hydras because you want them later on in Mid game and not in an opening hand. If you want a Garruk you might want to have only 1 of him, or even put him into your side (hes just so dawn expensive for Gruul Argo). Pillar of Flame might be a better choice than Rancor if you're trying to beat them quickly. With all the possible ways of getting counters on Gyre, I don't think Arbor Elf is needed, it might be better to add something that can attack. You should also have 4 Rootbounds. I hope this was a little helpful.
tnx a lot, i will for sure add 2 rootbound ( i couldnt find any at local store ) all your suggestion are awasome except i really want to make the deck with 4 hydra because i want my deck to be based around him. i also made a little calculation and if i have the perfect hand. i can make 22 trample on turn 5 with my hydra i just need to survive until then, i would also say i want to go more midrangy than aggro. i know i have Boar and Emissary but i might take them off if i can find something better tnx a lot for comments
why burst of strength you want to just out right destroy them with an aggro deck just run giant growths
and savageborn hydra are really slow for aggro
instead of arbor elf it one turn later but i think zhur-taa druid would be little more effective

He we go i made my deck midrange! any comments are welcome, i will try it at FNM this week i hope ill beat the American control that made the top 4 for like 3 weeks now..
it's..it's not really midrange, is it? I mean there's nothing wrong with that, it looks pretty good if you ask me, but if you were going for midrange you would need to add some fatties y'know?
Well what it is :P ?? i might add something els more fattie but i dont know what to add to make it still compeditive with all the control deck and Jund midrange in my meta ( 14 of the 22 player were playing either Jund midrange or American control )
You are going to have a tough time with other mid-range decks. You will need Farseek and Acidic Slime. There is almost no getting around that. I would also recommend: Renegade Krasis, Naturalize, Demolish, and Frenzied Tilling in either your deck or side deck. Drop your Mountains down to 5 and your Forests down to 7 (you shouldn't need 40% land). Searing spear is good but I think you can move it to your side and make room for something better to help you get to the Mid-game faster. You don't need as many Burning-Trees. Burning-Trees are good for getting a Mountain mana if all you have are forests but you have a lot of ways to get a mountain so you could do with only 1 or 2 Burning-Trees. Somberwald Sage isn't great but again might help you. No matter what you will have trouble against a control, jund, Naya and even a Reanimator will be difficult for you. Your side deck should have many things that stop enchantments, destroy graveyards, quick stops for Blitzes.

If you splashed a little black I think you would find many options open up to you but I also think its a slippery slope. Here's the thing. I know you love the way Hydra plays so keep it. You best choice is trying to slow them down with denying them non-creature permanents. If you put a little splash of black then this deck will be very adaptable for later sets or you can keep it R/G ramp and then when it runs out of Standerd then you adapt it to Extended, Modern or Legacy. http://www.mtgsalvation.com/m14-spoiler.htmlWith M14 coming out this summer, you'll be able to add Fog, Elvish Mystic, and Savage Summoning, will be very valuable to you. Into the Wilds, Vastwood Hydra, and Ogre Battledriver can help you quite a lot as well. Innistrad will be illegal this Fall so I guess keep that in mind if you are in fact playing with this and you don't want to spend money needlessly.

i was also maybe thinking about adding elderscale wurm or craterhood behemoth 1 or 2 of each is that any good ? I know its quite slow. but they are insane. also i might want to try 1 or 2 of devil play. bonefire is the expensive tnx for comments
