Agent of the Fates is the key piece of this deck, and because most of the metagame decks are creature decks, it's that much better. Many Heroic enablers such as scourgemark for card draw, gift of orzhova for flying and lifelink and dark favor for a hefty boost in power. Tormented Hero is Agent of the Fates's little brother, having a 2/1 body for one, and being able to take opponents life points little by little. Xathrid necromancer is here for the human subtheme in the deck, making killing your creatures not worthwile.
