Deck discussion for Infect. x10 poison.

Replace Hex mage with Corpse Cur, and maybe add Skithiryx. Also, switch tainted strike with steady progress, because your creatures already have infect, and even if you can't proliferate, with steady progress you can at least draw a card.

...why hexmage, tainted strike, and whispersilk?

i know whispersilk may seem good, but with all the artifact removal nowadays, it's actually a waste of mana to play and equip. you'd be better off just adding in a skithyrix.
no deck (with infect) is tournament quality with skithyrix. trust me.

hexmage, is a great card. but in infect, who gives a crap about jtms? yeah, he sucks, but if you do your job with this deck right, your opoonents should be near death by the time he hits the board.

keep in mind you're running blue, which has potential to counter, as well.

and tainted strike.. why bother spending any mana at all, (even one black is a waste) to give your creature infect/ +1 +1, if they already have infect? You'd be better off just spending mana on a boost card.

i don't know if you've seen the mirrodin besieged spoiler yet, but poison is about to explode. so if I were you, i'd google "mirrodin besieged visual spoiler", look at some cards and prepare a deck to use that can make good use of the new cards, ESPECIALLY the new man land, that card is flat out broken.

I added Hexmage to counter First Strike Creatures ie the idea is with a few Hand of Praetors out, I can "surprise" them with a first strike infecter they were not expecting. Plus, it works wonders for Planeswalkers, which instantly die. So while I agree, the deck should work fast enough with small creatures, it always helps I think. Also, I haven't seen much in the way of artifact destruction yet, but it's a good point.

I would definitely use Skith, but I wanted to test this out first next week...also, Corpse Cur is great to recall ichor rats or something else giving a direct poison, but at 4 mana, I wanted something quicker.

Yeah I will definitely replace Hexmage with Phyrexian Crusader for the first strike option and then probably toss the tainted Strikes. Spread the Sickness looks like a possible replacement for a couple of doom blades...and I'll probably toss the runic putrescence for Steel Sabotage. mmm inkmoth nexus...I agree!

Decimator Web...Core Prowler...and 4 x Go for the Throat maybe instead of Spread the Sickness (since it is so expensive mana-wise).

i think you're jumping the gun on the new spoilers, lol.
so far the only real asset to poison that i've seen is inkmoth nexus. that card is beast.
