Deck Description

Move over Jeskai Ascendancy, the new kid's on the block.

Time for infinite mana in standard!

To complete this combo you need Temur Ascendancy, Voyaging Satyr, Temur Sabertooth, Nykthos, and at least 7 devotion to green.

To activate:

Tap Nykthos to produce 7 green mana, then untap it with Voyaging Satyr.
Spend two mana to tap Nykthos again, giving you 12 mana.
Bounce Voyaging Satyr with Temur Sabertooth for 1G.
Then recast Voyaging Satyr, and since it has haste from Temur Ascendancy, you can tap it again to untap Nykthos... and repeat for infinite green mana.

Then you can dump your infinite mana into one of the mana dumps in the deck. Namely Shaman of the Great Hunt (for card draw), Mistcutter Hydra for a uncounterable beater, Genesis Hydra to tutor every nonland permanent in your deck, pump all your creatures to infinity/infinity with Nylea, or Crater's Claws for straight up lethal damage.

How to Play

Card Selection

This deck, while it has the potential to be a combo deck is first and foremost a green devotion deck, which is why you'll note the presence of Arbor Colossus and the multiple mana dorks built into the list.

Regarding Genesis Hydra, while I did mention above that it can be used as a dump for the infinite mana combo, it is actually far more useful to use as a way to tutor your final combo piece onto the field and make it uncounterable (since the card you get is put directly into play, and since the tutor ability activates when you CAST Genesis Hydra it will go off even if your hydra gets countered).

Eidolon of Blossoms, while it might not seem like the best source of card draw really gets out of hand against decks that lack consistent removal, playtesting has seen it drawing at least a card a turn in many situations since Temur Sabertooth can be used to bounce the Eidolon or Courser in order to generate further card advantage seeking the combo pieces.

This is also largely the purpose for Shaman of the Great Hunt, who might seem a little out of place here. On an efficient hasty power 4 body he has great potential to be very aggressive. Also since his card-draw ability can be activated purely with green mana, he frequently earns his cost back by acting as even more card draw accelerant to rush for the infinity.
