My friend has this annoying controll deck, with lots of counterspells, boardwipes and annoying 0/8 flying shroud defenders. Because of this i tried to make a deck that would counter his strategy and still be relatively good versus others.It all circles around a few key-cards.One being the Grand abolisher. Dropping that on turn 2 will make short work of his counterspells.He plays something like an oblivion ring, no problem, the War priest will take care of that.Than there is the Twilight shepherd, one of my alltime favorites, he wipes the board? FINE! I'll get my angel bak as a 4/4 and every other creature that died gets returned to my hand.If that somehow doesn' t work, than use Emeria and Angel of Glory's rise to bring your creatures back from the dead.Are you struggling with the 0/8 shroud defenders? Use the gorgon's head to force him to either block, or take the demage, wich will end up painfull if you attach it to the Angelic overseer.
Don' t put more than one abolisher at a time on the field. Try to get him on turn 2 though, before most counters kick in.
