That's one I gave some thought, but realized in most match-ups it's a slightly harder-to-cast Searing Spear. Lightning Helix is just Searing Spear + 3 life, and I don't think the 3 life will ever help this deck. In almost every match up, you're the aggressor. If they kill you, it's not usually because of 3 life, but they thwarted your initial burst of offense. I rather play burn that damages my opponent than giving me life.
maybe Isochron Scepter - you have 16 spells to imprint and reuse? Also you have no way to get rid of opponents enchantments in your sideboard. How about Crucible to guarantee landfall?
