Best White Budget Token Deck

by parkerisanerd on 12 March 2017

Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

It's not legal in standard and I didn't know a lot of the editions from first glace but it's really fun and does well.

Please leave tips in the comments if you have any.

How to Play

Dominate your opponent with tokens and build up Seraph of the Masses. Also use Elspeth to keep you alive and generate more tokens. Also you can clear the entire board (with Elspeth) so your opponent has no defense from your army of tokens.

Deck discussion for Best White Budget Token Deck

I like this deck. I do have a couple ideas for the deck though:
1. if you don't mind a teeny bit expensive deck then I would suggest 1 or 2 Rhys the Redeemed at about $17 each
2. if you want to stay cheaper then here are some other cards,
a. Growing Ranks, about $0.80 each
b. Intangible Virtue, about $0.25 each
c. Devout Invocation, about $1.40 each
Other than that I think this deck is awesome.

Thanks!
I'm cheap but I'll look into the different cards

Intangible Virtue is a must. Not only does it give the team +1/+1, it also gives them vigilance. Instant 4x in almost all token builds. A few others that might interest you (not sure on pricing):

> Spectral Procession
> Midnight Haunting
> Beckon Apparition (for the sideboard)
> Anointer Priest
> Sacred Cat
> Martial Coup
> Not Forgotten
> Raise the Alarm
> Sundering Growth (for the sideboard)
> Rootborn Defenses (for the sideboard)
> Timely Reinforcements
> Sram's Expertise

Why is this deck unloved?

I love this Theme too and had already made two similar Decks:
a white Soldier-Theme-Based Deck with Tokens and Counters: http://www.mtgvault.com/magnus13/decks/elspeths-soldiers/
a WG Token-Deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/magnus13/decks/wg-tokens-attack/

Maybe some of the following Cards can fit in:
- Brimas, King of Oreskos (a bit expensive but very nice for this Deck)
- Precinct Captain
- Raise the Alarm (already mentioned before, is a must-have)
- Murder Investigation
- Sandblast (a white "Removal" against strong creatures from opponents)
- Anointed Procession (a new Card from Amonketh, a must-have for a Token-Deck)
- Twilight Drover
- Phantom General

I think you can cut out Soul Summons, Nahiri's Mechinations and one Vessel of Ephemera to use Cards mentioned in the comments. Sundering Growth instead of Demystify, 2x Raise the Alarm instead of Join the Ranks and one Make a Stand?

Here are some more suggestions:
Some of them have already been mentioned, some of them are key for white token decks.

Precinct captain (good point magnus13)
Cast out
Secure the wastes
Brimaz king of oreshos
Raise the alarm - must have
Crusader of odric
Honor of the pure - must have
Spectral procession

Depending on how token heavy you end up, Intangible Virtue can outclass Honor of the Pure. But nothing is stopping you from running both, if you have the space.
