Deck Description

Straight forward mono white life gain. I'm worried it might be a little slow in life gain, any ideas suggestions on speeding it up let me know.

Deck discussion for [Budget] Life Gain

need more bigger creatures, only way to win is by drawing and playing Felidar Sovereign and thats a 1in 60 chance not good

Yeah, I definitely need a back plan for winning. I could just through some token generators and a few congregates and make my opponent rage quit.

You should check out my mono-white deck I just posted with Angels. It is pretty cheap as well. You might not gain as much but it holds up strong against many kinds of decks. Here is the link. Good concept though. http://www.mtgvault.com/snelss0/decks/angelic-beats-sideboard-help/

I built an angel deck that turned out to be a good little deck and only cost me $15. I'm a big fan of cheap decks, it helps when you're a baller on a budget. You should check out mine. http://www.mtgvault.com/patetopia/decks/budget-angel-deck/

Nyx-fleece ram. It adds up after a while
Soul's attendant. Always a good choice
Angelic accord. Because angels
Ajani's pridemate. Gets big off lifegain
Ajani's sunstriker. Good life linker
Archangel of thune. Lifegain equals giant creatures
Lone missionary. Personal preference
Perimeter captain. If you choose to run defenders
Rhox faithmender. Crazy for not running this
Suture priest. Good for you, bad for them
Wall of essence. Because wall of essence
Wall of hope. Because wall of hope
Wall of reverence. Because wall of reverence

All are suggestions. Just pick what you like. I have tried a similar build and am considering redoing it in the future now that I'm a more experienced player than I was way back then and the fact that there are better cards out now than I had at the time. Hope these help!

That is actually one of the biggest misunderstandings in all magic. While lifegain is important, unless it's a focal part of the decks strategy, you should never try and squeeze in lifegain and you should never value your life total over the amount of damage you could do. That's why cards like dark confidant are so expensive, because they give such a huge advantage despite what it says

I know, but since this deck is a creature based life gain deck, you'll still have plenty of creatures to deal damage with.

And yes, Dark Confidant is very good, but you always have to do it now matter what, so in some ways, Pain Seer is better, because you can choose weather to activate him or not.
