Long ago, witches were hunted and killed, burned at the stake for their powers. A group of them fled to the dark mountains with their children and made a city there that they defended against intruders. It didn't take long until the witches found the mountain was already inhabitated by vampires. The two groups made an accord - the witches would feed the vampires, and the vampires would protect the witches. And their they have lived at the top of the mountain, vehemently rejecting all intruders to protect the things they love.The witches specialize in fire magic, while the vampires specialize in blood magic. While there are men in the city, they are considered more useful building the infrastructure of the city and maintaining it. The women can defend it.
