I always like a good dirty land destroy deck. Have you considered Beast Within or Acidic Slime? They have the advantage of hitting either a land or a stacked infect creature/whatever else.

I can personally verify that this deck is amazingly fun to play. Who doesn't like Jeskai Wins?

Never have I seen a more dirty standard turn 1 win tournament quality deck.

What a well thought out/presented post. I very much see your point. Replaced read the bones with Whip of Erebos. Playtesting it now.

As for Ruric, he's not a card I'll throw out turn 5/6 every time. It depends on my hand, if (anything) has been scried and what I've played in previous turns as well as what deck they're running. Currently there are 13 non-creature spells in the deck, almost all of which will be played pre-Ruric in the early-mid game (Abrupt decay, Hero's, Mizzium). in my (somewhat limited) experience he proves to be a massive problem for them moreso than me.
Any further troubles to do with opponents running creature heavy decks can be fixed game 2 with sideboarding Slaughtergames or Dreadbore for Ruric. Thats my thinking behind mainboard Ruric.... As well as it being a really fun card to drop ;)

thanks for the comment!

Basically Xenagos is good when your even or ahead but not when your behind. If your in a rough spot and have to drop him turn 5 then chances are your now in an even rougher spot. better to have cards that function well when behind to improve overall consistancy. My 2c on that guy anyway.

Thanks for the comment. Detention sphere used to be mainboard but I decided to go up to that third tasty dissolve as well as another Kiora (turned out to be beastly when playtesting). That's why the one D-sphere is lingering in the sideboard, a relic from older times ;o

The mana curve is high due to running mystics and caryatid. all of those spells will be at least one turn quicker then normal unless someone goes to the trouble of removing the dorks. A turn 2 smiter is very scary. ill never cast selesnya charm on turn 2, I basically use exile ability, however it provides versatility in other circumstances. Boros charm works well burning the last bit of their health, or doing something like double-striking Kalonian Hydra.

Ninja monkey: Dryad militant used to be in the sideboard, but I realised there are very few flashback cards to worry about in standard at the moment. seemed like a bit of a waste other then just being a 1 cost 2/1. As for turn one I would prefer to drop the dork and get the midrange aspect running a turn earlier instead of playing the more aggressive cackler/Militant.

Thanks for the comments!

sideboard for tokens mainly, the enchant destroy/regen has saved me before too. its just a versatile little card, anything you would have in SB over it?

Okay, I don't feel like 13 (current form) is too many, some of which you will play before hand (hero's and abrupt decay come to mind). needs much playtesting!

I love the idea of a hasted Cerberus, but you might be onto something there ;)

Thanks a lot for the suggestions Snakerunners, appreciate it. The power of slitherhead in the deck is giving things haste (post exava) or bringing things above mizzium mortars range/burn range (exava, kalonian hydra).
I also thought a lot about elvish mystic, but in the end decided it tapping for green was a major downside as I often need 2 black (underworld, hero's downfall, rakdos) Whereas this doesn't affect the caryatid. I can see that it would be great with your proposed changes tho. basically i'm still playtesting it in its current form, but there is fat that definitely can and will be trimmed.

Hey cool deck, have you given any thought to Abrupt Decay in the sideboard (or perhaps main board)?

Love this deck man. I've been wondering how to make conspiracy work, and this seems like it would work well.
My only suggestion would be to replace blasting station with Blood Artists, but still, that would be a preference thing.
Nice job!

Yeah thanks, i didnt know that card existed so i added it in. great if they have 20 life or less because it slows them down more and more each turn.

Thanks, i added those cards in (didnt know they existed, Bojuka Bogs is especially cool and Puka's Mischief is just fun). Decided to take out the diabolic tutors too because i feel like their a paper tiger in the deck and unecessary. Will look at your deck tomorrow when i have time, thanks a bunch for the suggestions!

Cool deck. I have a suggestion for making it cheaper to buy though, seeing as its red/white "Wild research" could be put in instead of the Enlightened Tutor card. Its more mana-intensive and a bit risky but lowers the cost of the deck.
