Deck Description

Midrange deck, concerns about how fast it can be in the brutal format known as modern. Comments/suggestions welcomed

How to Play

Creatures:
Big Game Hunter: Overall an efficient card considering the madness cost, its uses are obvious.

Grave Scrabbler: Used to eke out card advantage and recycle core cards (BGH, Jaya Ballard)

Jaya Ballard: Core/general of the deck. Fuels the madness mechanic while burning or destroying permanents (think Glamerdyre, more on that later)

Skirk Ridge Exhumer: Additional madness mechanic in the absence of Jaya, useful to flash out a blocker that can destroy efficient 1/1's when you chump block.

Instants:
Dark Withering: Cheap removal

Fiery Temper: Cheap burn/control or if need be a player nuke.

Glamerdye: This card is why blue is splashed. Change the 1 cost ability of Jaya as need be (blue can become red, green, black, etc) to ensure 1 permanent is being destroyed per turn while using madness. You can respond to your own stack to change Dark Withering and Call to the Netherworld or even lands if you're really in a bind. It can still be used as an option to discard in a pinch (later use the retrace cost).

Think Twice: This card is probably one of the weaker cards. It can garner a bit of card advantage and still allows you to discard (and later flashback) if you need it.

Sorcery:
Call to the Netherworld: Cheap recursion when a Grave Scrabbler cant cut it, the free madness can be very handy. The downside is its inability to return Jaya unless you want to spend a Glamerdye on it.

Dimir Machinations: This is primarily used to tutor Jaya, but it can also be used to tutor a BHG or a Fiery Temper depending on the board state.

Sideboard:
Im trying to include sweepers to shore up weaknesses with things like Artifact Affinity (Shatterstorm) and Token decks (black Sun's Zenith, Screams from Within) as the deck functions very well at single target pick offs. No doubt the sideboard could be better.

Comments/suggestions appreciated.
Thanks.
