Deck Description

This deck has long been a favorite of mine. Having just gotten back into playing Magic for the first time since Stronghold, I found many new cards that change this deck from a fun change of pace to a fairly effective combo deck.

Main Idea:
Do direct damage with a poison creature, untap, repeat

or

Make my poison creatures unblockable.

Problems:

Not having enough mana to play creatures and attach equipment.

Dying too quick

Other Cards Included:

2 - Thornbite Staff

Deck discussion for Direct Poison Deck

Since you have red in there, throwing a Flame Fusillade in would work nicely. It reads: "Until end of turn all of your permanents have (tap symbol) this permanent deals 1 damage to target creature or player" And if you pull one of the Demonic Tutors I think this would be Vintage legal.

I might focus more on some of the themes that are working in this deck. My two cents, for what it's worth...
Go mono Green, you loose some of the poisonous creatures, but can run a few more untap cards.
Whispersilk Cloak = shroud & unblockable
Vitalize = untap all creatures you control
Nature's Chosen = untap enchanted creature
Instill Energy = untap enchanted creature
Scryb Ranger = untap target creature
Quirion Ranger = untap target creature
Worldly Tutor = get the creature you want

I recently got a hold of a few "Tim" equipments and finally replaced all the reds. I also added my newly aquired Virulent Slivers. Haven't tried it yet, but I have updated the deck list.
