Deck discussion for first try

well for a start most decks have 60 cards so there is plenty of space for new cards, for a start try think of a theme for your deck, if you look at a few more decks on this site you should get a picture of what themes can be built on best. Next you should work to identify which are the most effective cards for you theme and get 2, 3 or 4 copies of these cards. Having multiple copies of you better cards makes your deck more consistent and therefore better.

You dont need to add another colour, it depends what sort of deck type you want really

like the above statement this deck really won't go anywhere without a goal so if you had an idea that you built this deck around what was it? Also is this deck casual play or tournament?

Ok so PJN really led you in the right direction. The first thing you want to do is think of what kind of deck you want to have. So you might say you want a control deck, which relies on stopping your opponent from having creatures. Or you might say you want an elf deck relying on having lots of creatures out quickly. Then you would find cards that fit that deck type and really work well together. By this I mean you shouldn't simple pick cards that cost 4-5 mana even though they are really good. Then finally you need to choose how many copies of that card you will have in your deck. I would suggest 3-4, with the exceptions of really high costing cards that you might have 1 or 2 of.

For beginners, I would start out by building an elf deck since its hard to go wrong with elves :)

I hope I helped. You can ask me questions by leaving a comment on one of my decks.
