Deck Description

Standard, Junk midrange...

How to Play

I chose Disciple over Restoration Angel, because of the draw ability...

I use Vault basically for the lifelink ability, but sometimes, deathtouch could also be useful with a Disciple, or a 3/3 Garruk token, a Selesnya, or Orzhov Keyrune, or so...

Sideboard:

Elixir & Orb are for Mill, but Orb is also good against Door to Nothingness, Slaughter Games & such...

The ramp & draw is pretty good in this deck, so the 8 mana Army of the Damned is fine here, even the 10 mana flashback... ...if the opponent playes no Detention Sphere(that could be destroyed by Decay, or sealed by Ring), Sever the Bloodline, nor Wipes, than this card could be a big surprise out of the hat & a sudden death bringer... ...there are times, when you don't really need Serenity & 1 Armada Wurm, rarely 2 could be taken out for it as well.......

I think this is all that needed explenation...

Deck discussion for ArchSerenity

Ready // Willing!!! Ready // Willing!! Such a boss card and saved me so many times in my own Junk deck. And only 6 mana all up to fuse...

Very nice in a faster type of Junk, but not in midrange...

Thanks!..

This deck seems incredibly slow. Literally the only thing youre doing before turn 4 is farseek.
Having the aim of the deck be a hard cast angel of serenity will lead to fun times for any semi decent agro deck as they will run you over long before you cast anything dangerous.

TBH, it just looks like a reanimator deck that's being played for hard cast costs.

changes id make:
-4 keyrunes
-2 orings
-2 rangers path
-1 armada wurm
-3 abundant growth (these literally do nothing here)
-2 garuk

+4 mana dorks
+4 unburial rites
+6 mulch/grisly salvage

traditionally diciple would be rest angels but saccing a thragtusk to it seems good. *shrug*

Agreed. Knock out the 2 Ranger's path, 2 abundant growths, and Keyrunes for 8 dorks and you'll be better set. I love the look on an opponent's face when I cast a turn 3 Obzedat :)

This is not a reanimator deck, but midrange... ...there are too much grave-hate in standard today, so I won't bother making any grave-based decks.......

I was thinking about the dorks over keyrunes, but many decks that playe red like to shoot them with Pillar... ...& that way I'll just lose my ramp.......

By that logic there is too much counter and kill spells in magic so you may as well not bother in general... That's what you're sideboard is for. And you have O-rings in your mainboard. If you're worried about losing your dorks and ramp to burn spells too bad. You either ramp or you get bashed with spells and creatures while sitting there plodding out land after land... Your opponent needs a turn 4 supreme verdict to really do any major damage and by then you should have 6 - 7 mana ready to go or you're not ramping right. Easily 10% of your deck should be ramp-dedicated. The max ramp I have ever run is 4 Pilgrims, 4 arbor elves, 4 farseeks and I was putting out 5 drop creatures turn 3. That there is a HUGE advantage.. Screw their burn.

I've actually been playing this deck and it is pretty competitive, don't listen to the others hehe. I know they are just trying to help tho. Army of the damned is brilliant in this deck, ramp is really good. I owned an aristocrats deck already, but haven't tried vs a super aggro deck yet.
