Deck discussion for Colossal Dish

Played a deck like this last night against my RDW and it kicked my ass, lol. Big creatures but you get them out quick. Good stuff.

Thanks!..

Similar decks won GP, SCGO & stuff, so it's kinda' strong... ...tough you need to have a sideboard that covers every weakness... ...others like to play Polis Crusher mainboard, but I say: Come on, man!.. ...any time it got out it did not matter much, only when up against Esper, Azorius, USA, or Bant.......

Against a red deck, you need more Mortars & Clan Defiance is also great, especially when they have Stormbreath Dragon out, or may be Chandra's Phoneix...

My red deck doesn't go above 4 CMC, and I might even be taking the 4 cost out. It's ridiculously fast, but this deck is able to keep the tempo.

Oh, and on a side note: I saw a Golgari deck you recently commented on and built the deck based on your suggestions and have been testing it and it works great!

I think I remamber that deck... :)

Jund is better tough... ...regenerate your creatures with Golgari Charm, take out mono blue with that 1 card, remove Detention Sphere, or Chained to the Rocks... ...Abrupt Decay is also awesome... ...& the creatures you can use in Jund are awesome....... :)

I feel like you can reduce the number of planwswalker in this deck cause after bout 100 test hands ive noted that about 20 of them were dead hands. so 20% of your games would end with you not getting big creatures in time. Savageborn Hydra could change this cause the double strike with nylea's trample ability will make him hit very hard and with your devotion ramp he can get really big and almost one shot even if they have a lot of life gain. Now he does have his bad sides like how you would need to hold him off until you get a worth while amount of mana for him (5+ for X) this way he is out of burn spell range and will survive head to head confrontations with creatures with a back end of 5 or lower

suggestion list
-1of each planes walker
+3 Savageborn Hydra

Thanks!

The hands you draw on this site are not really realistic... ...to measure a deck's stability, you need real playtesting, or a particular insight wich I can see that you have...

I've never had the problem of drawing too many planeswalkers, tough there were games where I drew 6-7 total, but I could use 5-7 of them to the fullest... ...Domri easily dies at times & when you put out a Garruk, the opponent usually takes it out with Downfall, Dreadbore, etc. ... ...Mihara had 4 of each in his pro-tour deck & his wasn't bad either....... :)

Savageborn Hydra is nice, but not after my side of the board has just been cleared, so it's poor in many situations... ...besides, I don't always have the time to hold a card off until I get enough mana, tough in this deck, I usually can generate 12+ mana on turn-2... :)

If you have any farther thoughts on this deck, or have any of your own that you'd like suggestions on, just hit me up!..

Have you considered Reverent Hunter ? ive seen many green devotion decks use this card low mana and can be huge

I did & it's nice, but without Nylea/Trample, it's usually useless & can easily be delt with... ...some cards are fine, but in a highly competative envirement, it just won't cut it...
