Deck Description

How to Play

I donno' what to say... ...I'm nervous... :(

Anyway... ...the possible adventages given by Prophet are more diverse here than in any deck I've seen be4 myself...

You can cast 2 big creatures in a single turn with mana only enough for one... ...you can cast a monsterous creature & activate it's Monstrosity in your opponent's turn... ...you can cast Garruk in your turn & cast the creatures you've drawn with him in your opponent's turn... ...you can cast creatures, or Garruk, or Monsterous a creature in you turn, then cast counter spell(s) in your opponent's turn, or may be use Simic Charm to save your permenants, boost a creature, or return a creature(against wipes, the retuen ability can also save your own creature of course, but when it's a spot removal, you rather use the "Hexproof" ability).......

This deck works out amazingly! Against decks with a strong set of removal, I use 3-4 Simic Charms & those actually win me the match at times... ...against control, you also need more Charms & the 3rd Garruk as well + Negates...

Mistcutter Hydra wins you the match against Esper, USA control, Mono-Blue & Bant Flesh 67% of the time(it not winning you the match doesn't mean you lose)...

Against this deck, Mistcutter is not effective enough, cuz I have big non-blue creatures & I can eleminate it with Polukranos... ...the weakness of this deck is only a 50% weakness... ...it can not remove Planeswalkers, though it can counter them & you don't have the spare-mana problem here with Prophet... ...you can also eleminate creatures by Polukranos & Simic Charm, or counter possible blockers be4 smaching Planeswalkers with your huge creatures next turn.......

Deck discussion for Garruk, Broodmaster of Kruphix

I feel like this deck could use another Syncopate
Other than that and the 2 different temples which I am guessing are in here because of scry, this looks like a solid deck

YUP... ...they're in for Scry only... ...I have 16 lands that could add green mana & 16 blue as well... ...I have 18 lands that could enter untapped & 16 of them can add color... ...that's why I chose to use 2 extra Scry-lands over using 1-1 extra forest & island, or using 1-2 more Guildgate... ...a 3rd Nyx was out of the question, because I can effectively use it in a game only 2 times out of 3.......

Yeah... ...Syncopate is exceptionally good with Prophet, but I chose to use only 1 to complete the 4 Dissolve... ...I have 5 more counters in the sideboard for different kinds of reasons... ...I didn't wanted to use more than five counter spells in the main deck because against fast aggro decks, they're not effective enough(I'll be smashed by whatever's on board already while countering new stuff - though my board-game is quite strong & not slow at all, so with this many counters & Polukranos/Arbor Colossus as removal, I'm fine)... ...but when up against aggro, or Gruul midrange, may be Gruul monsters, I like to use Nullify & no Syncopate at all(against Gruul monsters, I keep Syncopate in) & against control, I always use Negate to it's full extent(keeping Syncopate in), but using extra Syncopates in the sideboard would be pointless, cuz after sideboarding, I can rather have counters that are specifically good against the deck I'm up against... ...& like I said, I don't want to use more than 5 counters mainboard... ...& Dissolve is better than Syncopate.......

As I tested this deck, I had to realize how brutal Broodmaster is in this deck... ...& when it's gotten rid of, I'll just play another one, since there's 4 total... ...& the stuff Garruk brings with a single activation............. ...this really works out great!! ;)

I really like it it seems fast, and you have some counters to deal with removal! hows it do against mono blue, mono black? those aggro decks seem killer right now, if your outracing them this is a monster

Thanks!

Have you red the "how to play" section? This deck can deal with any deck with a strong set of removal, including Mono-Black... ...& against Mono-Blue, I sideboard Mistcutter Hydra & it's all good... ...I've been beating all kinds of decks with this, even my own... ...G/R monsters have a chanse, but I usually go 3-1/2-1 against them... ...G/R Devotion is also a rival when constructed well, but never beat me so far, I usually go 3-2/2-1 against it... ...No control decks have any chanse, almost always 3-0/2-0... ...well constructed B/W aggro decks have a chanse & also selesnya with little black in them... ...of course, Junk midrange is competative against it, but usually 3-1 or 3-2, just as with 2 color aggro decks... ...aggro decks like Boros & such has no chanse though.......
