Deck Description

Standard, USA/French control...

How to Play

This is a control deck, so how you play it is all depending on what deck and opponent you are facing...

...Aurelia's Fury kinda' comboes with Tamiyo's 2nd ability...

Entreat the Angels in the sideboard, because sometimes I'm gonna' need more finishers, in case the opponent playes 3-4 Slaughter Games/Snapcaster in mainboard/sideboard & a strong set of removal... ...Serenity is also for that reason, but also good against aggro...

I have lots of instant draw for my miracles...

Gisela is devastading with the Hellkite.......

This deck is mean. I would try adding in Aureilia and GoST in addition to the hellkite. Maybe something like
2x Hellkite
3x GoST
1x Aureilia
All 3 of the those together can end a game quickly.

Thanks!

I use Gisela instead of Aurelia, because she's harder to delt with & she doubles the damage of the attackers as well... ...& only 1 mana more, than Aurelia... ...she also reduces the damage you take & she herselfe is a good blocker/attacker... ... only10 damage, or a strong removal could kill her (a creature needs to be 10/11 to beat her)...

Geist is not that good any more... ...I used to use it in previous America control decks & it was the only thing that massed up the game...

I see what you mean what with Glaring Spotlight. But then why not both Aureilia and Gisela? Together there even more dangerous. Than just one or the other.

Also question, I see that one helion crucible, how has that fared?

I won't use both Angels because I don't want to increase the mana curve & the Dragon is much better, than Aurelia...

I use only 1 Crucible, because & don't need a 2nd Lighthouse & the best card I could chose is it... ...I have enough colored mana, so I needed a possible extra finisher main deck in case the opponent could deal with my few creatures... ...with this many draw spells in the deck, it's like I have 2.5 Hellion Crucible in the deck... ...I don't need 2 of it, because I need to sacrifice it to get the token & that's 1 less mana... ...sometimes, it's also slow to activate, it's more like a late-game changer (quite effective with Gisela/need 8 damage to beat & deals 8 damage)...

I see. Everything makes sense now. If only they would reprint lightning helix haha. Cool deck tho. Im thinking about making a 'merica/fremch midrange or control. This gives me insight. So thank you.

Good luck!

Just tell me, when you are done with the deck!..

I agree, I was also waiting for Helix, but as expected, they didn't reprint it, because it would be too powerful in standard right now...
