Deck discussion for Throne of Skithiryx

Wow, seems original... i can truly say that I haven't seen a deck like this... or at least based around Skithiryx like this. I truly can't say what I would change about this deck, but if i come up with something, i would definitely let you know.

Is this the deck you play in standard?

Thanks! :) ...

Here is the deck I probably play next time: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=339841

Here is the 1 I've played last time (1st place, thanks to the counters expecially from the sideboards, expecially against "Day of Judgement" & "Killing Wave" : http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=339841

Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas. Yes, ill make my necropede 5/5, thank you very much, Tezzeret! He even keeps his infect! And i can do it 2 more times!

This also seems like a very defensive deck. It seems more geared towards proliferating the counters on than dealing the damage to get counters. If that is the case, i would highly recommend Viral Drake and Corrupted Conscience. The drake slowly whittles down their biggest threats, block once and proliferate the rest, and the Conscience outright steals their biggest threat. Corrupted Conscience is such a highly underrated card, dropping it on the opponents titan just shatters the game.

Finally, Corpse Cur is really a must. You can sac one to the throne, play another one, return the 1st to your hand, and repeat. Or you can just play it to get back a Core Prowler you sacced to the throne or a necropede you chump blocked with.

I'm an idiot not 2 put Tezzeret in it :) ... Better, than the gambit... The other cards U mentioned doesn't fit the deck as much as it might seem... the Drake is slow, Conscience is might good for the sideboards...

Thanks 4 YO' Comment! :) ... U helped me 4 SO'! ...

Virulent Wound will get the poison on the opponent early for proliferate, and add some board control.

Yes, it would fit the deck, but not instead of in it ... may be instead of the gambit, but I probably put Agent of Bolas in, so there's no space once again...

it is better than the lux cannon sideboard. -1 skittles, -2 lux cannon -1 Whispering specter. +4 virulent wound.

I used to run a skittles deck, maybe there is some ideas there

You should also input inkmoth nexus... its a 1/1 flyer that becomes a land at the end of turn. So the only way to kill it is by blocking it with a flyer or when its activated... hope this helps.

Also if you swing with a thrumming bird you can stack the abilities of he bird and the nexus that way its dealing 2 poison counters and 1 actual health counter. :)

I, of course thought about the Nexus, but I've found "Buried Ruin" much important & I couldn't add more colorless lands, or the deck would be instabile, no matter how many artifacts I use...

Thanks 4 your comments! I'm gonna' think on how I could put the nexus in... :)

maybe ad some hand of the praetors. to boost up al your creatures. and if you are not able to get a poison counter on a enemy this card wil help you a lot. and when the enemy is infected just proliferate :)

Just put Nexus as a side and I don't know what else to recommend, it seems like a very kick your poison butt deck.

Well
Like everyone else on the comments
I think Inkmoth Nexus is a must for every infect deck
Other than that I'm sorry there's not much else I can say
It's brilliant

Artful Dodge could be helpful.

Maybe Contagion Clasp, it's a solid kill spell with the built in Proliferate.

Wait--wait the deck is good yeah but depending where you play FNM. Believe because this deck, also card for card, is the first infect deck I ever made. Yeah whenI played at some random fnm my opponents were shocked and impressed. However, when it came down to it, it just couldnt go all the way. It was close but not enough.

i Love the concept of your deck!!! ive been wanting to build kinda simular to it lol. the only thing i would recommend would be Inexorable Tide. this has got to be a much in this deck lol. a lil high mana cost 3 colorless and 2 island, but its a enchantment that "Whenever you play a spell, Proliferate" all around BADASS!!!
